Steps for conducting a Google Ads Audit

Our Marketing Manager Reggie Ublado walks through the high level overview of how we conduct a Google Ads Audit for the brands we work with. As beauty and lifestyle brands, our clients typically have the objective of sales and conversions, so they are ultimately looking for the strongest ROAS or lowest CAC from their Google Ads Campaigns.

There are four components to a Google ads audit.

  1. Campaign and Audience Structure

  2. Ad Group Structure, including Performance Max Lists

  3. Ad Type Review

  4. Keywords and Negative Keywords 

We do these audits when pitching to prospective clients. We also follow this audit as part of our bi-weekly health checks; we assess whether the active campaigns are structurally sound and follow the successful trends we’ve gathered from our portfolio of clients.
